Him in the Beauty of His Holiness, Strength, and Majesty! Ps.46:
1-11 "YHWH
is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will
not fear...." One
of the most terrifying things a Human Being can experience is an earthquake. If
you have never experienced one, be thankful. There is something about the
security Humans derive from the perceived stability of the very ground we stand
on that shatters whenever the most stable thing we know in our natural life
begins to tremble. It is our very concept of permanence that
suffers the blow of realization that indeed we are but specks on a ball that has
the tendency to remind us now and then that it too is subject to greater
principles. It
is in the light of this knowledge that the writer of Psalms 46 declares
that God is our refuge and strength; adding that He is a very present
help in trouble. The word very modifies the word present to give us a complete
understanding of where God's help is when we need it. Because God is
sovereign (full dominion) there is no force or entity in all of
creation that can defy or refuse his will or desire. The only ones He gives
that ability to are those made in His image. That is why the world is in
such a mess. Man has tried doing things his way without the intelligence, wisdom
and knowledge that only God can provide. But
the psalmist is not speaking to the world! He is expounding the convictions of a
people who know their God and understand His sovereignty. He is declaring the
heart of a people who live in the shadow of the Almighty. He is voicing the
exuberant joy in the heart of those who trust in the Lord God Almighty for their
security without regard to what may or may not come. " Therefore, we will
not fear....” is the cry of their heart! That was the cry of those who
entered the coliseum in Rome to be devoured of wild beasts in the early days of
Christianity when it was suffering persecution for preaching the name of Yahshua
the Messiah.
Knowing full well that they would lose their lives through a horrendous death,
yet they remained faithful to the One who had called them and set them free from
fear through the infilling of the Holy Ghost. It
is still the cry of those who are persecuted for their faith in places like
China, Vietnam, and many Moslem dominated countries. They still know that God is
their very present help and it would take our being there or hearing
first-hand from them to realize just how God does deliver those He chooses to
through His sovereign will. Those of us born in the land of plenty and freedom
consider ourselves blessed and we are, but we do not understand how petty our
concerns often are in the light of the plight of our brethren in other parts of
the world. We
are too busy building great buildings to honor our ego and planning great things
in our own eyes to honor Him in the way we believe we should. However, we don't
stop and take the time to consider that God has already set the standard for how
we should honor Him. That is the reason the Master said, " I do not receive
man's glory." (JN 5:41) We
keep trying to glorify God within the structures of our own devise. We have not
surrendered to the truth so as to be set free from our unrighteousness and
pretense. We create programs and celebrate feasts that He does not even
recognize and we think to honor Him with our contrivance. When it comes time to
trust God in the midst of our trouble, we find it hard because we really don't
know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. What
we know is that which we have heard from others and at times, we are so confused
by what we profess to know that we don't know what to believe. That is known as
confusion and another word for confusion is Babylon. Maybe now we will begin to
see the reason God speaks to us from the book of Revelation about the great
mystery Babylon. Beloved,
time is of the essence and we must prepare ourselves for the next phase of our
(God's People) journey. We are being called to a higher plane even as we have
been called at diverse times throughout the history of our people's sojourn. We
were called out at the beginning of the reformation, once the strong delusion,
spoken of in 2Thess.2: 11, was in place according to God's purpose. Men of God
began surfacing and truth began spreading throughout the world until today
we have a living fountain of true knowledge springing forth from the very word
of God without impedance or distortion. Today, we have access to research the
truth if we are of a mind to and because knowledge has increased even as the
prophet Daniel foretold it under the anointing of God, those of us who desire
truth more than silver or gold will obtain it from the source that is YHWH our
Father through the Spirit of Yahshua our Messiah. In
whose name do you trust this day? If you trust in your own, you will surely
perish. If you trust in any name other than the name that is above all names,
you will surely perish. The scriptures inform us that there is," only one
name given to man under heaven by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 Have
you come into the kingdom through that name and have you been washed in the
blood of the one who bears that name and has given it to us for the forgiveness
of sins and for regeneration? Can you give an account to others of how His name
has set you free from the bondage of sin? If you cannot, perhaps it is because
you are still bound. The Lord said many would come in His name saying," I
am anointed." That means approved of God to speak for him. There are many
speakers today, but where is the unity of the message? Where is the power that
manifests itself without any help from man? God is God alone! We do not stir Him
up, He stirs us up! I pray that you may be stirred up in your spirit and that your heart may become ravenous for the truth of God so that you may seek Him with all your heart and come to know what it means to find the God who is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him! Shalom! Ydidyh Ben Yisrael
